How to remove a broken key from a lock

Broken keys in locks are one of the most frustrating things that can happen to anyone. In this section, we will teach you what essential solutions you can use in these situations, especially if you are in a hurry and don’t know exactly what to do.

Method 1: Using special tools

To remove the key stuck in the lock, you can use the tool shown in the picture:

Lubricating spray should be used. This area should be sprayed with essential oils. Silicone spray can also be used. Sprays such as these make it easier to open the lock and make the critical slip more water-resistant. To soften the lock, you can also use graphite powder.

The broken part of the key can help you fasten it to your broken leg by putting the broken and detached part on the lock.

You can use different tools to turn the stuck key if you were unsuccessful in the previous step, such as special tools with other series.

You can also lock the detachable key inside and control it from the outside with a special tool.

The second method involves using a saw wire

The saw wire, which bends easily, should be cut at the end. Metal saws are thin, brittle, and brittle. Make sure the saw teeth are angled correctly. Separate the teeth precisely where they are separated.

Insert the saw wire into the duct cover. If you feel the teeth are damaging the veneer, wrap several layers of adhesive tape on the saw wire.

Spray the lock again with the same sprays we suggested in the previous method, then smooth it out.

Insert the saw wire into the lock now. Shake your hand slightly until the saw wire reaches the broken key with the teeth of the saw wire facing up. The broken key will come out more quickly if you move the saw wire up and down.

Assume you hold a key in your hand as you twist the saw wire in the cover. The broken key can be removed by turning the saw wire.

Make sure you repeat this step until the key is no longer locked.

Method 3: Using pliers

In order to remove the locked key, if the keypad is left open, gently grasp the broken key with pliers or a narrow tail and turn it counterclockwise.

Method 4: Use gun glue to remove the stuck key

Heat the end of the special bond used in the gun glue lightly until it melts if the key inside the lock is broken.

The melted glue should be applied immediately to the broken and stuck key in the lock and held for a few minutes until it dries.

If you followed the previous step correctly, the glue and the key will merge, and you can turn the key or unlock it by turning the bond.

Despite sticking to the broken key, gun glue may also stick to other parts of the lock if you melt a large amount. Heat a small amount of glue.

Method 5:

If your key is broken in the lock and you don’t want to pay for a key maker, you can use a drill.

To release the broken key, loosen the screws around the tab with the drill.

It is important to be careful when using this method since the lock hole and slit are very small. To remove the broken lock key, use a thin drill. Extensive exercise causes the most brain damage.

You will most likely be unable to use your lock this way.
